OneRepublic é uma banda de rock dos Estados Unidos formada na cidade de Colorado Springs, Colorado. Eles têm recebido maior atenção da mídia desde seu primeiro single e hit, "Apologize", o qual possui um remix no álbum de Timbaland, Timbaland Presents Shock Value.O produtor musical Timbaland, lançou também em 2007, seu álbum "Timbaland Presents Shock Value" com um remix de "Apologize" com clipe e tudo, e obteve um sucesso ainda maior que a versão original, com isso, o One Republic foi apresentado ao mundo.
A banda cantou "Apologize" ao vivo no programa da Fox, "So You Think You Can Dance" em 2 de Agosto de 2007. Em Outubro de 2007, eles cantaram "Apologize" em um episódio de "One Life to Live", junto com Timbaland. Também fizeram uma participação especial na série Smallville, no episódio "Hero" da sétima temporada.
O próximo single do álbum, após "Apologize", foi "Stop & Stare" que também obteve grande sucesso, seguido de "Say (All I Need)" e depois "Mercy" (os dois últimos não obtiveram grande sucesso).
No final de 2009, a banda lançou o álbum "Waking Up" ('Acordando', como se fosse uma continuação do disco anterior), e com ele o novo single: "All the Right Moves", o clipe mostra a banda tocando em um pequeno palco para os artistas de um baile de máscaras, os bailarinos dançam a canção, enquanto isso, um menino recolhe dinheiro dos bailarinos que se movem em torno do assoalho. O álbum ainda ganhou uma versão "deluxe" com quatro músicas bônus.
A banda fez uma participação na música "Lost Then Found" do álbum "Echo" da cantora inglesa Leona Lewis, Ryan Tedder ecreveu e produziu a música.
A música "Secrets" faz parte Trilha Sonora do filme alemão "Zweiohrküken", que foi escrito, produzido e dirigido por Til Schweiger, "Secrets" virou single somente na Alemanha e Austria, seu clipe era uma mistura de cenas da banda tocando, com cenas do filme. A música também foi usada em videos promocionais da sexta e última temporada da série Lost.
